ANA MATEKALO

TEAM LEADER FOR ANALYTICS, QUALITY

I have been working at Belupo since 2013, when I began my career through the “Shape” program in the position of analytical technologist in Quality Control. Through this program, I gained an excellent foundation for further professional development.

Working in Quality Control is very much a team sport in the fullest sense. What I value most in my team is a strong team spirit—there are no “stupid” questions, and we reach the best solutions through joint thinking and collaboration.

Over the years, I have covered all areas within the physicochemical laboratories, and my work is focused on ensuring that every product or raw material leaving the laboratory fully complies with strict specification limits. This area of work requires a high level of ethics and technical expertise.

By participating in the Leadership Academy, I am further developing proactive management skills, combining the technical precision of quality control with a modern approach to leading people and processes.

SEBASTIAN BADJUK

CNS MEDICINES PROGRAM MANAGER, CROATIAN MARKET

I have been working at Belupo for more than two years as the CNS Medicines Program Manager. Prior to that, I spent nearly ten years gaining professional experience in both generic and innovative pharmaceutical companies.

Working at Belupo has brought me additional knowledge and a strong sense of connection with colleagues, both internally and externally. The possibility of fast and open communication, as well as joint problem-solving with different departments—most often through direct contact—significantly contributes to the company’s efficiency and shared growth.

Participation in the Leadership Academy has further enhanced my communication and leadership skills. It has enabled more effective and productive collaboration with colleagues, provided new insights into business and leadership challenges, and strengthened my readiness for change and continuous professional development.

I apply the knowledge gained in my daily work through an approach that reflects Belupo’s values.

ANA PUŽ PATRČEVIĆ

CARDIO PROGRAM MANAGER, CROATIAN MARKET

I have been working at Belupo for 13 years, building my professional path gradually by taking on new responsibilities and expanding my areas of activity. From working in Medical Affairs and the role of medical representative, through managing antibiotic and gastroenterology programs, to my current responsibility for the portfolio in gastroenterology, endocrinology, and cardiology—each stage has represented a step forward in my professional development.

Over the years, I have developed confidence in decision-making, as well as a strong awareness of the importance of collaboration, mutual trust, and shared goals. I am particularly motivated by the realization that our work contributes to products that have a real impact on people’s health and quality of life.

Participation in the Leadership Academy has further broadened my perspective and strengthened collaboration with colleagues from different departments, improving mutual understanding and efficiency.

LUCIJA KOSANOVIĆ, MPharm

FORMULATION TEAM LEADER, RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

I began my career at Belupo in 2012 as a research technologist in the Technology Development Department, and my path has continued to the present position through a gradual increase in responsibility and job complexity.

Formulation development and manufacturing process design is a challenging process that requires time, a thorough and systematic approach, and continuous education. Analytical thinking, coordination of various activities, understanding of GMP principles, and overcoming challenges are integral parts of this role.

I believe that the most important qualities in this work are self-motivation, good communication, a positive attitude, and initiative in taking on challenging tasks that provide opportunities for personal and professional growth.

For me, Belupo represents an environment that values expertise while offering opportunities to further develop knowledge and advance professionally for those who seek it.

SUZANA GOLENJA

IT BUSINESS ANALYSIS AND SYSTEM VALIDATION SPECIALIST, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

I work at Belupo as an IT Business Analysis and System Validation Specialist. My role includes analyzing business needs, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring that IT solutions meet regulatory and business requirements. Over time, my work has evolved toward greater involvement in projects, working on more complex systems, and taking on broader responsibilities in planning, implementation, and validation phases.

Working at Belupo has enabled continuous professional development through involvement in demanding and regulation-sensitive IT systems. Through internal and external training, as well as daily collaboration with experienced colleagues, I have improved my knowledge of business analysis and validation processes and deepened my understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and the GxP environment.

Support from management is based on trust, clear communication, and openness to suggestions. Collaboration with colleagues from IT and other business areas is team-oriented, which facilitates understanding business needs and finding optimal solutions.

I have had the opportunity to participate in the implementation and validation of key IT systems that support core business and production processes. These projects have provided valuable experience in managing business requirements, testing, documentation, and ensuring system compliance with regulatory standards.
