Early this year, Šimo Kordić, Master of Chemical Engineering and Technology with a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology, became a new member of our Research & Development Division.
Soon after completing his studies, he started his career at Teva Group where he worked for the past 16 years in high-responsibility positions, including as Pilot Engineer and Manager of the Product Development Division, Chief Formulation Scientists, Senior Robustness Leader and MS&T Manager (in Bulgaria), as well as Assistant to MS&T Director responsible for complex and sterile products. His professional, scientific and working interests have largely and constantly been focused on product research and development. In Pliva and Teva, he gained experience in many transformational processes, including their setup, implementation, and supervision. He is an advocate of lifelong learning and has been trained in pharmaceutical, computing and communication management seminars.
Mr. Kordić replaced our long-time R&D Director Damir Bijač in this position. In January of this year, Mr. Bijač was appointed Director of Purchasing.
